L to R: David Ofili, Caroline Nyaga, Rozita Petrinska-Labudovikj, Chona San Pedro, Dwaymian Brissette

On the 23rd of April, IFLA Headquarters welcomed the 2013 Jay Jordan IFLA/OCLC Early Career Development Fellows.

The five fellows for 2013 are:

  • Mr. Dwaymian Brissette (Kingston, Jamaica)
  • Mrs. Caroline Nyaga (Nairobi, Kenya)
  • Mr. David Ofili (Benin City, Nigeria)
  • Mrs. Rozita Petrinska-Labudovikj (Skopje, Republic of Macedonia)
  • Miss Chona San Pedro (Manila, Philippines)

The fellows got an introduction to IFLA's strategic work and the Key Initiatives. Headquarters' staff then gained an insight into the work and profile of the fellows and had interesting discussions about the challenges of the library sector across the globe. The discussion was facilitated by Sarah Kaddu, current IFLA International Leaders Programme Associate and a previous IFLA/OCLC Fellow (2008).

The Fellows received a free, year long membership in IFLA as Personal Affiliates.

IFLA headquarters wishes the new Fellows all the best for the next four weeks of intense learning across the globe and is very much looking forward to encounter these bright and new professionals in the future.
